I have just purchased PIPELINERR registrations,
$99, for my TYROS 2.
I have transferred them to a USB stick and have no clue as to how to import them to my TYROS 2.
I would appreciate some assistance in installing these registrations.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

plug your USB stick into the front panel usb connector on the right side of the tyros2 and turn on the tyros2 if it is not already on. then press both registration buttons (plus and minus) at the same time. using the tab buttons on the display tab over to the USB tab and then on the display - you have to look for them in the folder you put them into. when you find that folder select it with the corresponding display panel button and then the display will read for example "2PIP Reg" which is a folder containing many different registrations. select it with the corresponding display panel button and the list of all the registrations in that folder appears. now you can select all the different registrations banks in that folder - each bank containing 8 different registrations selected by pressing one of the 8 registrations buttons (1 through 8). now you can listen to all of them and decide which ones you like. you can even copy your favorite ones into a 'favorites' folder to reduce the "hunt for it" time later on. now you can exit using the "UP" button (#8) and select another folder - say pip400fant which contains many more banks of 8 registrations each. you probably also received some setups and equalizations that you can use to brighten up the sounds. Back on the Pipelinerr website you will find many downloads of information on how to use the stuff you got and much additional information on many other things about your keyboard you will want to read. you are going to like what you hear when you select the accompaniments. so select an accompaniment now and start it up playing and you will get the accompaniment and the standard sounds that go with that accompaniment. now press one of the registration buttons and a new set of sounds are now available for you to use. press both plus and minus registration buttons again and the display switches back to your list of registration banks. you can now select different banks to go with your accompaniment. at any time you can press one of the one touch setting buttons to go back to the standard tyros sound for the accompaniment and press a registration button again and you are back in the registrations again back and forth as much as you want. there is some really cool stuff that has been programmed into these registrations that are velocity sensitive and different instruments can come in depending upon how hard you play - so now you have a new technique to employ to change the sounds dynamically. most of the registrations are phantoms in that they will not change your accompanement settings which allows you to play many many many different sounds for your accompaniment and select different banks and registrations within any bank while you play without affecting tempo or transposition.

so to sum up all this stuff:
install the usb stick
use the tab button to select USB (or USB1)
press both plus and minus registration bank buttons
find the folder (Pipe-1_80_phant~ for example)
select a bank using the display buttons
select a registration using the registration buttons
use the UP button to go back up to select a different folder
and repeat this process of going in and out of folders selecting registrations

also (forgot to mention) some of the registrations change stuff the longer you hold down keys - really neat effects there. after spending a few days with these registrations you will get the hang of it very well and you will also remember where they are to select them more quickly -- you are going to be amazed at what comes out of your speakers. be sure to get some good speakers (or headphones) to get the full impact of these registrations or any other tyros sounds

tomorrow - - - you are going to be a different musician - - - you are now running on high octane gasoline.

How are you doing on your registrations? You should be finding some really good and clever ones in there. Let us know how you are doing.

Can you give me the web site for Pipelinerr? I need additional styles for Tyros 2. Any other style sites you might suggest for styles?
