Is this fair?

When the Tyros2 was released here in Norway I know several demonstrators got a Tyros2 keyboard free of charge for traveling about 2 weeks (at home in weekends) a few places demonstrating the Tyros2. All traveling costs, etc. was ofcouse paid by Yamaha.

Since 20'th of July 2005 (not 2 weeks but soon 3 years) I have runned this website demonstrating the Tyros2 without getting as much as a "Thank you" from Yamaha. I know that this website have done much more advertising than the demonstrators did in the 2 weeks.

Is this fair?

I was hoping I one day could write a big review about how great the Tyros2 keyboard is. Maybe that day will never come. It's up to Yamaha to deside.

I think it is fair to the demonstrators for their hard work. But Kenneth, for you, they should get you a complimentary Tyros2 and then a T3 when it comes out and throw in two (for true stereo) of the 730 series home theater systems. That would only be about 6000 USD (maybe just a little more) their cost plus they would have no traveling expenses. I think many people have bought a Tyros2 from reading the comments on this site. If I ever win in the lottery pool we play in here in Houston, I will get you all of the above and have it shipped to your front door. Ed.

Of course, you should receive a Tyros2 from Yamaha ! Because thanks to you, several persons have bought a Tyros2 (me too). So, Yamaha has earned money thanks to Tyros2.net and you. It should be fair from Yamaha to give you a Tyros2 !
I totally agree with you...

I also bought my T2 based a lot on what I learned here. They owe you big time.

I was a member of your kn7000 site and enjoyed reading all the latest news about the kn 7000. I have joined your tyros site after having traded in my kn 7000 for perhaps an inferior machine, a tyros 2. The only reason I did this was because in a couple of years time the kn 7000 won't be worth anything. I don't think a lot of the voices on the tyros are anywhere near as good as the kn but perhaps they are saving voice upgrades for the tyros 3. I would think you deserve a freeby from Yamaha but then again can they afford to be that generous. You dont get owt fer nowt where I come from

Maybe it is becasue you volunteered to set up this site while Yamaha didn't ask you to. They hired their demonstrators but they didn't hire you for making this great website. I have similar experience. I have my website www.vision-4-life.nl running for many years, renewed it, added music to it, share my vision to make a better world and added donate buttons. We currently sponsor three children, one via Dorcas Aid and two via www.compassion.com. We would like to sponsor more and asked people to join. But in all these years I saw no penny coming in via my site.

But be assured that you have many fans, like I have, only not funding.. Frown
